Hello, my name is Devan Figliomeni, and I am a registered mental health counseling intern with a background in elementary school counseling. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, grief, stress, and emotional challenges that can affect daily life.
For children and teens, those struggles may show up at home, in school, in friendships, or in the way they manage big feelings. For adults, they may appear as worry, overwhelm, difficulty coping with change, or feeling unsure how to move forward.
My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Whether I am working with a child, teen, adult, or family, I take time to understand what is happening beneath the surface and what kind of support will be most helpful.
I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative. Together, we can focus on building self-awareness, developing practical tools, and supporting meaningful growth in a way that fits your needs and goals.
Professional background
My background in school counseling has shaped the way I understand children, families, and the systems that support them. I have experience helping students with emotional, social, and academic challenges, as well as working closely with families, educators, and community supports.
Through this work, I have developed a strong foundation in advocacy, crisis intervention, social-emotional development, and helping clients build resilience. I understand that emotional struggles do not happen in isolation, especially for children and adolescents, and I value collaboration when it supports the client’s overall well-being.
I provide counseling for children, teens, and adults, with a focus on anxiety, ADHD, grief, life transitions, and stress management. My work is grounded in compassion, respect, and the belief that each client brings their own strengths into the therapy process.

A supportive approach to growth and coping
I use a compassionate, client-centered approach that is tailored to each person’s strengths, challenges, and goals. Therapy with me is supportive and practical, with space to talk through what feels difficult while also building tools that can be used in everyday life.
I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, to help clients notice patterns in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. From there, we can work on reframing unhelpful thoughts, improving emotional regulation, strengthening coping skills, and building confidence.
With children and adolescents, I pay attention to the emotional, social, and developmental needs that may be affecting their behavior or well-being. With adults, I focus on helping clients better understand themselves, manage stress, and move through challenges with greater clarity and resilience.
A place to feel heard and supported
Seeking support can be an important step for a child, teen, adult, or family. Therapy offers a place to slow down, better understand what is happening, and begin building skills that support growth in daily life.
If you are looking for compassionate counseling for yourself or your child, I would be honored to support you. Reach out today to schedule a consultation and take the next step toward meaningful progress.
